You’re Not Behind

You’re not behind.

Some days it feels like everyone else got the memo on marriage, motherhood, ministry, or simply how to keep life together.

Social media can make it seem like everyone else is five steps ahead while you’re still trying to find your keys—and your peace.

The hardest part is that this pressure quietly convinces us we’re failing, when in reality, we’re simply living a different story.

But here’s what I’m learning:

God isn’t in a hurry, and He isn’t measuring your life against someone else’s timeline.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”Psalm 27:14

Waiting isn’t falling behind.

It’s being positioned.

Three truths to remember when you feel late:

1. God’s pace is peace.

The world rewards urgency.

Jesus invites intimacy.

“Abide in me, and I in you.”John 15:4

You don’t have to earn rest.

You’re invited into it.

2. Comparison steals your peace before it steals your joy.

“When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding.”2 Corinthians 10:12

When you compare your ordinary Tuesday to someone else’s carefully chosen highlight reel, you’ll almost always feel like you’re falling short.

But God isn’t comparing you.

He’s calling you.

3. You’re not late to your own life.

“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”Esther 4:14

Not last year.

Not when she did.

Now.

God’s timing for your story is never accidental, even when it feels delayed.

If anxiety feels loud today, place your hand over your heart and whisper:

“I am already chosen. I am already loved. I am right on time with God.”

You don’t need to catch up.

You simply need to come home to Him.

Where have you been feeling “behind” lately?

Share it in the comments. I’d be honored to pray for you.
